Nic and mates joined us on an offshore charter.

With two boats booked we ran out to the deep. Well it turned out to be a fantastic day with everyone landing their personal best fish and Nic catching his first fish in his life, a 83kg yellowfin tuna. This was a memorable day in the deep.

Fisherman in the making – 28 November 2016

Justin Kemp and mates joined us on Monday for some offshore fishing.

We landed some Yellowfin Tuna with Richard fighting his personal best fish like a pro. His son Matthew (9 years old) put up a great effort on board, chumming like a champ and fighting a Blue shark until he could not reel anymore. What a fun day with these boys on board.

Big Catch Team – 27 October 2016

Our Big Catch Fishing Tackle Rock and Surf experts had another deep sea sport fishing lesson. Julian caught his personal best Yellofin Tuna, 98.5kg, that took him 20min to land. With serious drag and the correct technique, Julian did an amazing job! Robin also caught a personal best Yellowfin Tuna of 80.5kg.

Come and see our Big Catch Fishing Tackle staff in Store at 27 Auckland Street, Paarde Eiland, Cape Town, for some first hand advice!

Riaan Manser on Board Big Catch – 27 October 2016

We took Riaan Manser and friends out for a day of offshore tuna fishing this week and it turned into a very special day for Big Catch.

Everyone on board had a chance to do the tuna dance, with everyone catching their personal best yellowfin tuna. I then got hooked on a monster of a fish, with the Tiagra 80w screaming, I knew I was in for the fight of my life. We landed the 121.75kg Big eye tuna, a personal best. With smiles all around, we returned home after a epic day of fishing.
